Welfare

Our club seeks to ensure best practices for player welfare and as such all of our coaches are appropriately skilled and training in the safeguarding of children. Our safer recruitment procedures are robust and we follow the FA guidance to ensure that all of our coaches are suitable to work with children and young people. ABC Kick promotes that football should be safe and enjoyable for all children and coaches. As part of our safeguarding children strategy, all of our coaches hold an enhanced DBS - This is in line with legislation and government guidance and is standard practice. Football is proud to have a network of 8,500 welfare officers across the grassroots youth game, supporting safe and fun environments for everyone. Our designated club welfare officer, Belinda South has worked within children services for over 25 years and has completed a range of safeguarding training through the local authority. The below documents will provide parents/carers and coaches alike with access to information, policies and procedures.
